Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts Newcastle, Maine
This series of 6 cabins arranged in a village like pattern are clustered along a circulation spine which connects the parking lot to the farm meadow to the south. The prefabricated wall panel system is erected on a radiant heated concrete slab. The building are oriented for maximum solar gain and privacy. The double height shed space allows for individual lofts to be built by the artists. The eastern cedar siding is applied vertically as a rainscreen. The roof is Galvalume standing seam metal.
