
	Popham Beach Clubhouse Popham, Maine The Beach Clubhouse is located along the road to Fort Popham and provides a series of social and support spaces for members to enjoy the sand beaches along the ocean. Meeting rooms on three levels all face the ocean to the south and scrub pine forest on the north. Decks screen porches and terraces encourage outdoor activities. A Library with fireplace, dining and kitchen all take advantage of natural light and cross ventilation. Changing and activity rooms are located in the basement. The building form takes it cues from the local vernacular architecture and uses a long sloping roof to minimize the impact of the program on the neighboring houses.
