Set on an existing foundation this new house has an exposed steel frame in the main house and an exposed site harvested oak post and beam frame in the attached barn/ garage. The open plan extends horizontally and vertically. The main floor connects via a double height space up to the second floor and crows nest and down to a lowewr living room. The steel and wood stair wrapped in channel glass connects all levels and is top by a large roof skylight. The highly insulated thermal envelope issided in eastern white cedar. Windows and doors are triple glazed and the roof is a galvalume metal with a 3KW solar PV array.
